EastEnders' Yolande Trueman will be forced to apologise to Pastor Clayton amid her ongoing sexual harassment story.

The new storyline recently began when Yolande felt uncomfortable after the Pastor abused his position while they worked together on a charity project.

In scenes set to air next week on BBC One, Yolande is comforted by Honey and Billy Mitchell after being pushed out of her charity plans following the pastor's unwanted advances.

Denzel Danes then encourages Yolande to attend the prayer group while he secretly arranges to meet a group of girls at Number 20 with Nugget.

Denzel lies to Nugget about getting rid of his steroids in an attempt to repair their friendship, before Yolande unexpectedly arrives home.

Denzel is frustrated when Yolande ruins his plans by refusing to attend the prayer group, so he decides to confront Pastor Clayton outside the Community Centre.

Later, at Number 20, Yolande and Pastor Clayton condemn Denzel for his behaviour, with Yolande apologising for her accusations against him. As a result, the pastor reinstates Yolande as head of the church's charity plans.

Yolande actress Angela Wynter reprised her role as Patrick Trueman's former wife last summer, after previously starring in the soap as a regular from 2003 to 2008.

"I have been really looking forward to playing her again and have had a beautiful time on set so far. I can't thank the cast and crew enough for the warm welcome back," said Wynter on her return.

Producer Chris Clenshaw added: "Although we haven't seen Yolande for some years, her departure from the Square and the breakdown of her marriage to Walford's living legend, Patrick, left some unfinished business between the pair. We therefore thought it was important to explore a reunion between the two. We couldn't be more thrilled to have her back!"

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
