Easyjet alert for UK tourists flying to Turkey, Italy, Spain after Friday

Easyjet has announced new routes for the UK with tourists leaving Britain able to snap upm flights to Turkey, Italy, and Spain. Easyjet, which is rivalled by Jet2, TUI, British Airways, WizzAir and Ryanair, explained it was rolling out new routes across the European Union.

EasyJet's new destinations include gorgeous locations in Spain and Italy and h olidaymakers will be able to fly easyJet from London Southend Airport as of 2025. The low-cost carrier already has UK bases at the likes of Birmingham, Liverpool John Lennon and Manchester.

Now, it is opening in Southend, to go along with its Glasgow Airport, Edinburgh Airport, Belfast International Airport, Bristol Airport, London Luton Airport and London Gatwick Airport. Flights will commence from May 1, 2025, Easyjet has also confirmed.

Tourists looking to book ahead can do so from this Friday. EasyJet's new routes from London Southend Airport - starting May 2025 - include Gran Canaria and Pisa, Italy as well as Dalaman and Antalya, Turkey, Marrakech, Morocco and Enfidha, Tunisia.

EasyJet’s expansion reflects its commitment to providing more travel options and enhancing connectivity for passengers in the UK. The introduction of these new routes is expected to offer greater convenience for travellers looking to explore these diverse destinations.

London Southend Airport, ranked the best London airport by consumer group Which? six times and voted the best UK airport (under three million capacity) by the Airport Operator’s Association in 2019.

Serving close to 2.3 million passengers in 2019, London Southend offered services to around 40 domestic and European cities. The terminal has its own railway station, less than 100 paces from the main entrance, with up to six trains an hour at peak times to central London, taking just 52 minutes to Liverpool Street and 43 minutes from Stratford. All airport car parks are located minutes from the terminal entrance.
