easyJet Flight Delayed For More Than An Hour After Cabin Crew Row

An easyJet flight from Gatwick delayed take off for more than an hour after two cabin crew began ROWING as the plane taxied on the runway.

Passengers watched on in sheer astonishment as the ‘tiff’ broke out between two members of crew on the EZY835 flight to Belfast yesterday afternoon.

The strange debacle was witnessed firsthand by TV presenter Dan Lobb, who live-tweeted the chaotic scenario, and explained how the row had resulted in the removal of two crew members.

He wrote: ‘This is a first. My @easyJet flight has returned to gate because the cabin crew have had a tiff! 1 crew member being offloaded. Delayed.’

In a series of follow up tweets, he added: ‘“Please be patient with us”’says the captain. Water being offered. Suggests those at the back should come to the front where it’s cooler..

It’s believed that the flight eventually departed at 3.45PM, a whole one hour and fifteen minutes later than the scheduled 2.30PM departure.

Confirming the incident, an easyJet spokeswoman said: ‘easyJet can confirm that flight EZY835 from London Gatwick to Belfast returned to stand to replace two crew members following a verbal disagreement between them.

‘The safety and welfare of our passengers and crew is easyJet’s highest priority and in order to deliver this easyJet’s cabin crew need to be able to work as a team. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by the resulting delay. The flight has now continued to Belfast.’
