Echo Binge Hits Nielsen Streaming Chart at No. 4, Ted Also Debuts in Top 10
For a second straight week, Netflix’s Fool Me Once again easily topped Nielsen’s U.S. ranking of streaming originals, this time amassing 2.4 billion minutes viewed across its eight episodes.
For the week of Jan. 8, Prime Video’s Reacher similarly held steady at No. 2 with north of 1 billion minutes viewed across 15 available episodes — its fifth straight billion-minute haul. It was followed by Netflix’s The Brothers Sun (960 million minutes viewed/eight episodes), the chart debut of Disney+’s Echo (731 million minutes viewed for its five-episode binge drop) and Disney+’s newly renewed Percy Jackson and the Olympians (up a spot with 618 million minutes/five available episodes).

Nielsen notes that Echo‘s audience was Marvel-typical, with two-thirds of its viewers age 35-64, and 60% male.
Rounding out the Top 10 streaming originals for the week of Jan. 8 were Peacock’s Ted (542 million minutes viewed/seven episodes released ahead of Peacock’s well-watched, exclusive NFL Wild Card game) and four Netflix offerings: The Crown (477 million minutes/63 episodes), Boy Swallows Universe (386 million minutes/seven episodes), You Are What you Eat: A Twin Experiment (315 million minutes/four episodes) and My Life With the Walter Boys (307 million minutes/10 episodes).
