Move over, Taylor Swift — Ed Sheeran is the latest superstar to announce some huge new show dates, and the line for tickets is already forming.

Shape of You star Sheeran is planning two nights at the Royal Albert Hall later this year, so fans will have to get in quick if they want a chance of bagging tickets to the prestigious venue.

Here's everything we know so far about Sheeran's London dates and how to get tickets.

Ed Sheeran is headed for one of London's most prestigious venues, the Royal Albert Hall.

He has announced just two dates for shows — Saturday 18 and Sunday 18 November, 2023 — meaning that competition for tickets is set to be tough.

But anyone hoping to hear their favourite track from the singer-songwriter should be aware that he will only be playing his forthcoming album Autumn Variations, in full and accompanied by a string section.

It will be his second album release of 2023 and is set to go on sale on 29 September, giving you just enough time to learn the words for November.

He's not the only superstar to have booked the Royal Albert Hall — Kylie is also set to play the venue in December.

It goes without saying that you'll have to be quick off the mark to secure a ticket to one of the two shows.

Sheeran is also famously tight on security around official tickets, taking measures to crack down on touts meaning that his fans won't be charged inflated prices by third parties.

If you want to increase your chances of getting tickets, you can pre-order Autumn Variations which will get you into the presale, with the first one active from now until 3pm on 13 September and another one beginning at 9am on 14 September.

Then the general ticket sale scrum begins on Ticketmaster at 9am on 15 September.

There are currently no more tour dates booked for Sheeran, but fans can watch his Disney+ documentary Ed Sheeran: The Sum Of It All.

The emotional four-part series covers his marriage to Cherry Seaborn, her shock diagnosis with cancer while she was pregnant with their second child, and the devastating loss of SBTV founder Jamal Edwards, who was a close friend of Sheeran's.
