Ed Sheeran is taking some tips from ‘badass’ MTV EMAs co-host Ruby Rose by admitting he won’t be following a script when they present the awards ceremony.
Anyone else really love Ed’s little rebellious streak?
As if we weren’t already excited enough to see Ed and Ruby hosting the awards together, the singer has admitted that he’ll be going for a freestyle presenting method up on stage.
He revealed: “I think for me as a host, I’m going to try and do my job and introduce people but I think I’m allowed to kind of say what I want - not necessarily in the sense of me being rude or anything, but I don’t have to follow a rigid script.”
Something tells us this year’s EMAs are going to be extra special.
As well as hosting the awards, Ed, whose ‘Jumpers For Goalposts’ film premiered in London last night, is nominated for four EMAs - Best UK & Ireland Act, Best Male, Best Live, and Best World Stage.
The dynamic duo announced that they’d be taking on hosting duties earlier this month, with the super cool Ruby tweeting: “So excited to be hosting the MTV EMAS In Milan with Mr @edsheeran !!! See you there!!”
Ed, meanwhile, tweeted: “So happy to say I’m hosting the #MTVEMAs on 25th October! Cannot wait,” before later teasing that he had a co-host for the show, which was obviously later revealed to be Ruby.
Be right back, just clearing our diaries and probably swimming across the ocean to get there and watch this dream team in action.
For now though, we’ll have to make do with this promo video:
The MTV EMAs 2015 take place on October 25th in Milan.
