Edinburgh Airport welcomes new Jet2 flights to stunning European island

Edinburgh Airport has welcomed new flights to a popular holiday destination.

Those hoping to cross-off seeing the Northern Lights off their bucket list could be one step closer as travel operators Jet2 and Jet2Holidays will be releasing new flights from Edinburgh to Iceland as part of their new winter schedule in 2025 and 2026.

Iceland offers one of the natural wonders of the world with thousands flocking to see the Blue Lagoon and black volcanic beaches. From the world’s most northernmost capital, Reykjavik, to volcanic landscapes and the night skies featuring the spectacular Northern Lights, it is easy to see why Iceland is deemed a once-in-a-lifetime trip.

The programme will see the company operate three dedicated trips in total, including a four-night trip on 26th November 2025, a four-night trip on February 4 2026 and a three-night trip on February 8 2026. As well as providing customers with more choice when it comes to which month or period they want to travel from Edinburgh Airport - the flights are also perfectly timed for those wanting to witness the spectacular Northern Lights and experience the best of Iceland.
