Edinburgh B&M set to open new garden centre at Fort Kinnaird retail park

Shoppers have spotted a new addition opening up soon at Fort Kinnaird outdoor shopping centre.

B&M is located next to B&Q on Newcraighall Road and is open from 8am-10pm every day except Sunday 9am to 6pm.

Eagle-eyed hoppers caught a glimpse of a new garden centre opening soon at the B&M store - with it looking almost fully stocked so far. Customers will have to wait though - tape is covering the entrance and security is standing guard.

The addition to the B&M store is likely to be eagerly-anticipated though no opening date has been announced so far. Shoppers are unlikely to have to wait long though - as summer gardening season gets underway.

B&M online advertises garden buildings, decking, paving, planters, plants, and wheelbarrows for sale in its garden centres.

The B&M garden centre is not the only new addition to the retail park. We reported earlier this year that Home Bargains will be opening an outlet next to Superdrug later on this year.

Replacing the Wilko store which closed its doors back in September 2023, will be a major sports retailer. Signage plans were submitted to the City of Edinburgh Council, indicating their desire to take over Unit 16 - formerly Wilko.

The plans were submitted on behalf of Adidas with images showing how the shopfront will look with the Adidas Logo.

Mountain Warehouse and River Island stores have both upgraded to larger units in recent months. River Island opened their new concept store and fitted their changing rooms with high tech touch pads which detect which items are carried into the space with customers.

Shoppers can use the touch pad to request something in a different size without having to leave the changing room.
