New Edinburgh Black Sheep Coffee announces opening date in city centre

A new cafe is opening its doors in Haymarket as part of a huge expansion.

Black Sheep Coffee will be opening in in Haymarket on May 14, making it the seventh coffee shop from the company in Edinburgh. To celebrate, customers will be able to buy a coffee for just £1 on the first day.

The new site in Haymarket Square will be serving everything from coffees to refreshing smoothies, to an indulgent selection of pastries and waffles, to locals and visitors.

With large white lettering on a wood-effect background, the new coffee shop can't be missed in the centre of Haymarket. Inside neon lettering can be seen above leather-style seats and booths.

This comes as Black Sheep Coffee opened 90 stores across the UK with 40 of them opening in 2023 alone and Edinburgh has seen a wave of them popping up across the city centre.

Gabriel Shohet and Eirik Holth commented on the launch: “We’re so excited to be launching our newest Black Sheep Coffee site in Edinburgh and creating another coffee haven for those who dare to be different. With Edinburgh’s rich culture of creativity, we feel that this is a perfect new spot for us to open in.”
