The general election campaign has arrived at its final day as the party leaders make one last push to win support before voters head to the polls on Thursday.

Rishi Sunak will travel to the south of England hopeful that Boris Johnson’s last minute campaign intervention will have cut through with wavering voters.

The Tory leader will be undertaking a series of visits before addressing a campaign event on Thursday evening.

His rival Sir Keir Starmer is going on a tour of the UK, with visits to Wales, Scotland and England.

Sir Ed Davey, the leader of the Liberal Democrats, will be visiting a handful of his party’s key target seats in the “Blue Wall” while Nigel Farage will be banging the drum for Reform UK and his own candidacy in his chosen seat of Clacton.

John Swinney, the SNP leader, will conclude his campaign with a mini-tour of Scotland.
