As he tried to conduct a television interview on the pitch at the final whistle, Ethan Ampadu had to apologise for not being able to hear the question being asked. The atmosphere inside Elland Road was electric, the noise was deafening. The old place was rocking!

From the minute they arrived, to the holding up of the scarves as the players entered the pitch to the final whistle and beyond, Leeds United's supporters were every bit the 12th man as they watched their side cut through Norwich City in a 4-0 victory to book their place in the Championship play-off final at Wembley.

It was hard to not be impressed by the passion on display, and it was something the Sky Sports pundits definitely noticed in the post-match debrief.

Jobi McAnuff, who won promotion to the Premier League with Reading in 2011/12, heaped praise on the Elland Road faithful for their role in the win, applauding the performance from Farke's side.

He said: "The atmosphere tonight from the minute we walked into the stadium... we've seen the scenes and spoke about the crowd and the impact that would make. It did energise the players, they embraced it and were fantastic.

"We talk about results being the most important thing but it was important tonight to see that level of performance from that Leeds United team - it hasn't been there in recent weeks but it looked like they clicked back into gear. A very top performance."
