Grey's Anatomy BFFs Meredith Grey and Cristina Yang aren't going to be reunited any time soon, but here's the next best thing.

Ellen Pompeo has shown her support for Sandra Oh again, as she congratulated her former co-star on her huge Golden Globe win.

Oh – who starred as fan-favourite character Cristina on the ABC medical drama for ten seasons – took home the Best Actress in a Television Drama Series trophy for her role in Killing Eve. She also co-hosted the ceremony alongside Andy Samberg.

Pompeo was clearly delighted with Oh's achievements and said that "no-one deserves this more", quote-tweeting a photo posted by Oh of herself next to the Golden Globe.

"This is a pretty sweet sight, I gotta say," Pompeo also said.

Pompeo isn't the only Grey's Anatomy star to have congratulated Oh on social media.

Kevin McKidd, who plays Owen Hunt, and Camilla Luddington, who plays Jo Karev, also celebrated Oh's win.

Sarah Drew (April Kepner) wrote: "So happy for you and so honored to know you!!"

And Grey's Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes tweeted: "I am so incredibly happy for @IamSandraOh tonight. Well-deserved. Overdue.

"She is always best actress, y'all. Always."

Pompeo previously called Oh's talent "otherworldly" in support of Killing Eve.

Last year, Oh downplayed going back to Grey's Anatomy (at least for the time being), explaining that although she is flattered and grateful for the fans' support, a return wouldn't "feel right" at the moment.

The 76th Golden Globe Awards aired live on Sunday night from the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California on NBC in the US.
