Eltham stabbing: Teen boy, believed aged 15, knifed in south London

A teenage boy was rushed to a south London hospital after he was knifed in Eltham.

The boy, believed to be aged 15, was found suffering stab injuries on Sunday.

Police and London Ambulance Service scrambled to the scene on Mottingham Road, near the junction with Elmstead Lane, shortly after 7pm.

Pictures shared online showed a number of police cars and an ambulance blocking the road.

The teen has been taken to a south London hospital, Scotland Yard said in a statement.

Police said his injuries are not life threatening.

There have been no arrests and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

A spokesman for the Met said: "Police were called at approximately 7.05pm on Sunday, June 17 to reports of a male suffering stab injuries in Mottingham Road, near the junction with Elmstead Lane, SE9.

"Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a male, believed aged 15, suffering stab injuries.

"He has been taken to a south London hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition."
