Elton John given 100 oak trees as he celebrates 76th birthday
The I'm Still Standing singer celebrated at home with his husband David Furnish, and their two sons.
Sir Elton John has been given 100 oak trees as a birthday present as he turned 76.
The I'm Still Standing singer celebrated at home with his husband David Furnish, 60, and their two sons Elijah, 10, and Zachary, 12, with a piano-theme cake and balloons that read 'Daddy'.
John revealed: "I absolutely loved my birthday! A magical day with @davidfurnish and our beautiful sons.

"From the most spectacular cake - to the gift of 100 oak trees grown from acorns off the old tree that’s been gracing my driveway for centuries, it was a real celebration.
"Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the friends and fans who sent flowers and beautiful messages."
He shared pictures if a birthday cake featuring models of himself and Furnish on top and his sons sliding down the side.
The photos he posted also featured oak tree saplings grown from acorns from an ancient oak tree in his garden.
Furnish added: "Happy Birthday to an amazing husband, father, artiste, philanthropist and best friend. Here you are at 76, selling out stadiums - playing and singing better than ever!
"You inspire me every day with your mammoth heart and boundless zest for life. Love you forever."
He shared a picture of one of their sons hugging John.
John's longterm song writing partner Bernie Taupin, 72, was among those to share their well wishes on social media, writing: "What a beautiful day, so we’ll deserved. The happiest birthday to my dearest pal."
Fashion designer Donatella Versace, comedian Alan Carr, director Baz Luhrman and actor Toni Collette were also among those to wish the Rocket Man singer a happy birthday.
The Candle In The Wind singer has been on the road with his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour since 2018 and intends to retire when it finally comes to an end in 2023.
The tour — billed as his last — was originally scheduled to last three years, was extended due to the global coronavirus pandemic and has become the highest grossing tour ever.
John became extremely unwell after he contracted a dangerous bacterial infection in 2017 while undergoing treatment for prostate cancer.

He said in the documentary Elton John: Uncensored: “'I literally had to learn to walk again. I was extremely sick. Luckily I survived it. Now I am fine. But there are very few bits of me left!
