Emergency services 'search for body' in River Clyde near George V Bridge

Emergency services are searching the River Clyde today (April 27) after they received reports of a body in the water.

Police, ambulance and fire crews rushed to the scene at around 9.45am to the George V Bridge after the incident was called in.

Pictures from the scene show officers and firemen on either side of the Clyde with a helicopter flying overhead. It is believed that the Clyde Walkway Bridge has been closed off and a large cordon along the river is in place.
