Emily Atack says she is victim of cyber-flashing before she has even had breakfast

Emily Atack has revealed she receives hundreds of sexually explicit pictures online every single day, including first thing in the morning.

The Inbetweeners actor and TV presenter said on the Plot Twist podcast — reported via The Sun — that the constant messages from cyber-flashing men "drive her crazy".

She added: “Before breakfast, I’ve seen about ten penises I have not asked to see.

“If someone sends me a sexually explicit message, I’m like ‘why have they said that to me?’. It makes you question who you are and why you’re single."

The 32-year-old star has previously backed initiatives to make cyber-flashing a criminal offence after she noted that sexual harassment online was getting worse.

She said: "It’s not normal, is it? People don’t realise the harm [it can cause] and the triggering it can spark — where else you take it in your mind."

Atack also reveals she struggles with dating, whether that's with famous men or with men who are forced to enter the public eye when they begin a relationship with her.

"I like to date normal guys who are not in the public eye. [But then] they say ‘I can’t deal with all this pressure’ because they are painted as my boyfriend really quickly," she said.

Atack added: "Dating someone famous is a f***ing nightmare as it is just this massive thing.

“Basically, I’m f***ed. When things take a serious turn, I find it really tough.”

The star rose to fame for portraying Charlotte Hinchcliffe in The Inbetweeners and has since fronted her own stand-up and sketch programme The Emily Atack Show.

She finished in second place on the 2018 series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! and took over as one of the team captains on anarchic panel show Celebrity Juice in 2020.

Atack revealed that her next job is a travelogue show with Ruby Wax and Mel B and that she hopes to write a sitcom in the near future.
