Eminem tipped as Glastonbury Festival headline act for 2025

Crowds are sure to go Berzerk at next year's Glastonbury Festival if the rumours are true: rap royalty Eminem has been tipped to headline the festival next year. Co-organizer Emily Eavis has reportedly been trying to book the 8 Mile star for years, but this time her dream might come true.

A source told The Sun: “It’s been a long time coming but finally, after years of trying, Emily could be about to get her wish. It’s by no means a done deal but with a successful comeback in motion a huge headline slot next year makes sense.

“I’m sure everyone behind the scenes is willing things to work out."

Perhaps this would be the perfect timing: Eminem is currently number one on the UK charts with comeback track Houdini. The rapper has a long history as music's provocateur prince: known for his edgy humour and razor-sharp wit, he has 11 UK number ones including Smack That, Without Me, and The Real Slim Shady.

He won the first ever Grammy Award for Best Rap Song in 2004 for Lose Yourself, which also won him an Oscar for Best Original Song. With all the achievements under his belt, audiences are hoping he's Not Afraid to put on some wellies and perform at Worthy Farm next year.

Glastonbury Festival has a long history of hosting great rappers: Jay-Z headlined the festival in 2008, and the Black Eyed Peas followed suit the year after that. Dizzee Rascal, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, and Lil Nas X have also graced the stage.

Glastonbury Festival 2024 will be held from Wednesday, June 26 to Sunday, 30 June and will feature a show-stopping line-up including Dua Lipa, Coldplay, and Keane.
