Emma Bunton has revealed that she accidentally gave her mother an eyeful when she inadvertently sent her an intimate message intended for her partner Jade Jones.

The Spice Girl has shared that she meant to send a "mucky text" to Jones while away on tour “not long ago”, but managed to send it to the wrong person.

“I was away from my other half for a few days. But we are very much in love and I love sleeping next to him," Bunton said during a pilot for the new Paul O'Grady show, according to The Mirror.

"We are together all the time. So I decided that I would send a mucky text. A cheeky text. A sext.

“I did a little selfie with the boobies. I did have a bra on. But I did a sleazy kind of little selfie and a 'Miss you' and 'Wish you...' – and sent it to my mother.”

Bunton did add that while she was "mortified", her mother has a "great sense of humour".

The singer became engaged to Jones in 2011 and the pair share two sons, Beau, eight, and Tate, 12.

The Spice Girls embarked on a UK tour earlier in the year as they re-grouped albeit without Posh Spice, Victoria Beckham, in attendance.

Mel B had previously spoken openly about her desire to take the tour global next year, however, later reports emerged which suggested the plans had fallen through.

While she told the crowd at Wembley Stadium on the final night of the tour in June that “We’ll see you in February in Australia!” she later admitted: “So I announced it on stage, yes, without everybody else signing off 100 per cent.”
