Emmerdale airs dramatic Christmas Day shooting as Mack plot comes to a head
Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale has aired a dramatic ending for the show's latest villain Damon 'Harry' Harris.
The dangerous gangster finally got his comeuppance in the show's Christmas Day episode as Charity Dingle rushed to the rescue of her partner Mackenzie Boyd.
Harry has been holding Mack captive in an abandoned factory over the past few days, seeking a ruthless revenge on behalf of his daughter Chloe.
Emmerdale's festive episode saw Harry turn his sinister intentions to Chloe herself after discovering that she'd made an ill-fated attempt to free Mack.

After initially concealing his knowledge and teasing a big surprise, Harry followed Chloe back to the village and bitterly accused her of betraying him.
He then forced her into the back of a car and took her along to the factory for the endgame of his plan.
This sinister moment was witnessed by Chas and Charity Dingle. As Chas recognised Harry from her own recent kidnap ordeal, she and Charity realised it could be connected to Mackenzie's disappearance and they quickly decided to follow Harry's vehicle.
Once back at the factory, Chloe was horrified to find Mack bruised and battered after being beaten up by Harry's heavies.
Chloe desperately pleaded for mercy on Mack's behalf, but Harry clearly had other ideas as he pulled out his gun.

Meanwhile, with Chas focusing on calling the police, Charity quietly approached and realised it could be game over for Mack.
Charity leapt into action and sparked a high-stakes scuffle with Harry. As they wrestled for the gun, the weapon was accidentally fired amid the chaos and Harry collapsed to the ground after being shot in the chest.
Harry's reign of terror is over, but what does this now mean for Charity after her role in what happened?
