Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale has confirmed that Jai Sharma and Laurel Thomas will be splitting up.

The couple go their separate ways in the wake of their recent rows over Amit's departure and Jai's betrayal of his half-brother Suni.

Wednesday's episode (July 3), which is already available to watch early on ITVX, sees Laurel start to lose patience over Jai's refusal to be honest with his sibling over why Amit left.

When their argument starts to spiral out of control, Jai crosses a line by bitterly insulting Laurel's late husband Ashley.
