Yahoo News Emmerdale fans confused over missing character in Claudette storyline
Emmerdale fans have expressed confusion about the absence of Ethan Anderson amid the storyline surrounding his grandmother Claudette.
The new character recently arrived in the village, though she has been faking a back injury in order to continue staying with her son Charles.
However, after being caught out by Manpreet Sharma, the latest scenes revealed that she has in fact become homeless after being evicted from her place of 40 years by her landlord.

Amid the storyline, viewers have aired questions about where Ethan is, with one viewer tweeting: "Not that I care cos he's dull as but what's happened to Ethan, a bit weird that his Gran has turned up, yet he's nowhere to be seen."
"I know Ethan is a snob but where is the character? Last time I saw Ethan he got dumped by Marcus and called boring," another added, while a third simply asked: "Where is Ethan?"
Ethan hasn't appeared on screen since April, though it is worth noting that soap characters can disappear for periods of time due to factors such as cast availability and scheduling.

In the latest turn of the Claudette storyline, the character explained her situation, revealing that after being kicked out of her home, she found that London prices were too expensive.
"I never thought my life would end up like this. I worked all my life, saved up a small pension," she said, and when Charles suggested she could have called him, his mother retorted that he made no effort to contact her.
In the end, Charles offered to let her stay, and while Claudette was hesitant, Manpreet suggested starting again with their relationship, as the three agreed to hold no more secrets.
