Emmerdale fans do double take over Amy Wyatt during wedding as they spot 'fire' blunder
Emmerdale fans were left doing a double-take as they watched Amy Wyatt tie the knot with Matty Barton in beautiful scenes. The ITV soap's long-standing couple finally said 'I do' during Wednesday night's (April 17) trip to the Dales.
It didn't come without some drama though as the wedding was almost derailed by Amy's mum, Kerry, who wasn't able to stump up the cash she promised to pay for the big day. With everything ready to go at Home Farm, Kerry confessed that the necklace she planned to sell wasn't worth as much as she thought and was therefore penniless.
Amy was heartbroken by her mum's actions and demanded she leave immediately, pack her bags, and get out of their home. Luckily, Eric Pollard saved the day and paid for the wedding while also walking Amy down the aisle.

Amy, played by Natalie Ann Jamieson, then exchanged vows with Matty, portrayed by Ash Palmisciano, in emotional scenes in front of their friends and family, with Amy's son Kyle Winchester in the role of Matty's best man.
But for the nuptials, Amy opted for a twist on a traditional wedding gown and chose to wear a chic ruched ivory-toned dress that boasted hi-lo skirt and a strapless bodice and even sported a trusty pair of Doc Martens that had been personalised at the back with their wedding date.
And while the vamp-inspired look for the day, which was topped off with a black leather jacket dress that was embroidered with 'Wifey' on the back, did match Amy's personality and tendency to do things out of the box, some Emmerdale fans were initially confused by the dress.
One fan asked: "Is the front of her dress caught in her knickers." Another echoed: "Why’s her dress tucked in her knickers?" A third shared: "Love Amy's Dr Martens! Not keen on the dress. Looks like it's tucked into her knickers."
But there were also plenty of praise for the wedding itself. @geordiegalg said: "Brilliant episode, gorgeous wedding. Amy & Matty are perfect together #Emmerdale." @xKellieLou commented: "Congratulations Amy and Matty. #Emmerdale I really enjoyed that episode." @blue_laur11 wrote: "Amy and Matty are husband and wife so cute !! #Emmerdale." @Winis_World added: "I love Amy's wedding fit. I am happy Eric saved the day #Emmerdale."
Meanwhile, others feared Amy's fire-starting past could come back to haunt her as she threw her bouquet during the reception, which landed in Victoria Sugden's hands. One said: "Throwing a bouquet indoors with lots of candles about?!…" Another commented: "Wait..The bouquet was thrown across all those tables with lit candles on..? Okayyyy." A third added: "Throwing a bouquet backwards when there's candles about. Surprised the wedding didn't end up in flames"
