Emmerdale fans 'doubt it' as ITV soap bosses issue update

Emmerdale fans are in doubt after a new update issued by bosses at the long-running ITV soap on Wednesday.

The serial drama has been on our screens for a huge 51 years and has amassed an army of loyal viewers in that time. The soap regularly updates viewers on its social media platforms and a new post on Instagram has got fans talking.

Tonight's episode will see Matty Barton and Amy Wyatt tie the knot. Emmerdale spoilers have shown the wedding could be thrown into chaos as Kerry Wyatt struggles to find the cash to pay for her daughter's big day.

And viewers are predicting things will not go as planned for Amy and Matty. Emmerdale bosses shared a still ahead of the new episode and said: "Make sure you’re watching tonight at 7:30pm".

Fans quickly rushed to the comments section, as Lyndsey said: "Kerry I think is having Eric on I think she got paid a lot more than 100 and will get Eric to pay for the wedding and be quids in" [sic], while Anne said: "Will this wedding go without a hitch? I doubt it [but] good luck guys".

Layla said: "Never a smooth wedding in Emmerdale" and Gill said: "I hope it's a lovely wedding for once but I can't see it somehow".
