Emmerdale fans think they know who will "see to" nasty Tom King after his campaign of emotional and now physical abuse on wife Belle.

Since the moment they were married Tom has gaslighted Belle, tracked her phone, and manipulated her. In a fit of rage he trashed their home, later blaming burglars.

Horrific scenes during Tuesday's episode saw Tom take his abuse one step further. Belle and Tom hosted a dinner party, attended by Marlon Dingle and Rhona Goskirk, among other guests.

Marlon and Rhona have been at each other's throats for weeks, and things exploded while they were sat around the table at Belle and Tom's. But while everyone who went to the party is reacting to their huge row, nobody knows what happened after everybody left.

Tom had found out Belle was secretly taking birth control pills again, as he wants a baby, and after he threw accusations and slurs at her, he shoved her hand under scalding hot water.

In the latest episode Belle and Suzy Merton were discussing the previous night's events when Suzy noticed a bandage on Belle's hand. She joked: "Well at least you had Tom, he's a doctor, sort of".

Belle replied: "It's really not funny, it shouldn't have happened".

The scene prompted many fans watching at home to take to X, formerly Twitter, and some have predicted who will put a stop to Tom's abuse. While some viewers have previously guessed that Cain Dingle would be the one to intervene, Tony said: "I think Belle is going to be the one to deal with Tom, I can see her cracking and doing him in".

Nic said: "Come on Belle, take him to the cleaners" and Vic said: "Belle is going to snap and see to Tom mark my words".

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX
