'Emmerdale': Five ways murderous Meena could exit the soap
Emmerdale psychopath Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) returned in Friday’s episode, preparing to wreak revenge at the nuptials of ex-beau Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) and Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley).
After watching from afar all week, the twisted killer was seen in the church, giving us an animated, unsettling preview into next week.
Yes, it’s set to be a Valentine’s Day to remember, for all the wrong reasons.

Soap bosses previously promised that Meena will get her comeuppance following her escape in January.
So ahead of the gun-wielding showdown, let’s take a look at all the options for Meena’s long overdue downfall.
Jailed for her crimes?
Soap villains may not always end up in prison, but Meena certainly deserves to spend the rest of her life behind bars. So will the police finally catch up with her and stage a dramatic arrest?

As actor Sandhu previously revealed, Meena “doesn’t believe that laws and bad things apply to her.”
She may be in for a rude awakening if Emmerdale decides to lock her up for good.
Becomes the victim during her own revenge plot?
Perhaps instead, it could be a case of poetic justice for Meena. If her actions unintentionally led to her own death, there would be nobody to blame but herself.
As Sandhu explained, Meena believes that “she gets to do whatever she wants, she’s indestructible.” With that in mind, to be proved wrong by her own demise would be rather fitting.
Hospitalised?
It’s been clear for some time that Meena is extremely unstable. Although there is no doubt that she knows exactly what she’s doing, could medical experts decide she’s unfit to stand trial? Anything is possible, but this could be seen as allowing Meena to get away with everything she’s done.

Or could she be hospitalised in a different way, suffering serious injuries that put her in a coma? Let's face it, this would just be another way of delaying the justice process, so let’s park this one in the unlikely zone and hope Emmerdale doesn’t go there.
On the run… again?
Well, she has got form for disappearing acts, but many fans would be fuming after last time. Allowing Meena to roam across the globe, free to commit as many murders as she wishes? No thank you, Emmerdale.

This is soapland, and we like our evil villains to receive suitable retribution for their sins. As it’s been teased that this is coming for Meena in some form, I think we can assume she won’t actually be escaping this time around!
Murdered?
Of course, there is more than one way the character could lose her own life. In an effort to save themselves, one of her surviving victims could end up killing her in self-defence.
Will Dawn or Billy be forced to act quickly? Let’s not forget, Dawn has gone to such lengths to protect herself before, after dodgy copper Malone (Mark Womack) threatened her.

Or could Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) follow through with his previous intentions to kill Meena himself, to avenge the murder of daughter Leanna (Mimi Slinger)?
Maybe Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) will step up to protect the villagers from her sister instead...
One way or another, time is almost up for Meena.
Tune in to Emmerdale at 7pm all next week to find out if she will finally pay the price.
