Emmerdale spoilers: Courtroom shock for Nicola and Naomi, Vinny is in turmoil
It’s trial time on Emmerdale next week, but there’s the real possibility of Nicola not getting justice.
Read on for your Emmerdale spoilers for the week of 7 – 11 November 2022.
Nicola heads to court
The opening day of the trial leaves Nicola blindsided when Saskia’s barrister argues that the defendants were no longer friends with Naomi due to a falling-out over money.
The view of the lawyer is that Naomi feels ostracised from the gang – hence her dragging the defendants into the mess.

There are further shocks in store when Naomi’s barrister runs rings around Nicola on the stand and points out to the jury that the case against their client is lacking any real credible evidence. It’s a state of affairs that leaves Nicola seething at the injustice and wondering what she’ll end up doing if the gang gets off.
And Manpreet then ends up making a bad situation much worse by trying to manipulate Nicola into speaking favourably about Naomi in court.
Naomi is threatened by Saskia
There’s plenty of tension outside of the courtroom too, particularly in the toilets where Naomi runs into a manipulative Saskia, who insinuates that she’s owed money. Saskia then threatens to drag Naomi’s family into this whole mess should she not change her version of events.
But when Naomi takes the stand, she makes an attempt to ignore Saskia’s coercion despite harsh cross-examination from the barrister. But she ends up erupting with fury and coming clean about Saskia’s threats.
Once back home, Ethan and Charles try to offer encouragement to a downbeat Noami, who’s now resigned herself to the possibility of going to prison.
Kim is in a happy place
The transformation of Kim Tate has been something of a miracle these past few months. No longer is she the ice queen of Home Farm. Some might say she’s almost become…warm and cuddly.
And there’s more evidence of the friendlier Kim in next week’s episodes, when we see her smiling at the prospect of her new family set-up being solidified. And the reason for her happiness? Well, she’s offered a chuffed Dawn and Billy free lodgings, which they’ve happily accepted. Let’s hope there are no fallings-out in the near future…
Faith’s firework send-off
Faith is still set to dazzle, despite having passed away a few weeks ago. What we’ll witness next is Chas announcing that she’s now dropped her mum’s ashes at a local factory, where they’re set to be turned into a firework.
Vinny, meanwhile, is mourning in an altogether different way, as he sits with Chip, lonely and depressed, having finally come to the realisation that Liv is never coming back.
Will April and Arthur get together?
Finally, we have Cathy playing matchmaker as she schemes to get April and Arthur together.
But the course of true love never does run smooth in soapland. So we can expect to see Cathy’s plan backfire, with April being left hurt when Arthur bolts from the café where they’ve rendezvoused in order to do his homework.
