Priya’s exit plans announced
An event at Take a Vow ends badly for Priya when she’s left helpless with fear after a veil catches alight after coming into contact with some candles. Leyla, meanwhile, is having a better time of it as she’s offered a job by new client Justin, who’d like her to join his London team.

However, when Priya later runs into Justin and explains why she panicked at the event, he ends up offering her the post with his company rather than Leyla. The development leads to Priya having to defend herself to Leyla, who accuses her of sabotage, despite Priya not having known about Justin’s rethink.
David snatches Amba
Displeased by the possibility of Priya moving away, David takes back control in unorthodox fashion when he kidnaps Amba.
Jacob and Pollard will then be seen pleading with Priya not to call the police, promising instead to fix the situation. But it’s Leyla who eventually tracks down a defensive David at a cottage, where she accuses him of running away from his problems. But it’s clear that David can’t be reasoned with and he ends up locking Leyla in the bathroom.
Priya, meanwhile, is back in the village, finally making a call to the authorities…
Cathy gets much-needed support from Bernice
In the cafe, Cathy fires off some hurtful comments to Bernice about the menopause. And when Bob decides to confront her about the bad behaviour and Heath butts in, Cathy loses it before storming off feeling confused and embarrassed.
The next day, Bob and Brenda receive a phone call from the school informing them that Cathy has fled her mock exam. And it isn’t long before Bernice has clocked Cathy hurrying towards Connelton. Inside, Bernice then finds Cathy washing her skirt in the sink. And, opening up, the upset and ashamed teen reveals that she missed her exam due to her heavy periods.

After getting support from Bernice, a relieved and grateful Cathy promises to talk to Manpreet about ways to manage her symptoms, even though she can’t bring herself to tell Bob how she’s feeling. And by the week’s end, Cathy has been onto the pill and also received news from Bob that she can resit her mock exam.
Mary’s dating woes
At the Woolpack, Mary is set to be left disappointed when her date Joy turns out to be less of a match than she’d anticipated.
Despite this setback, Mary is determined not to give up on love and plans another date, only for this one to turn out to be a no-show. She then discusses her dating experience with Kim, who advises Mary to start exuding more confidence. So will it be third time lucky?
Gabby and Nicky’s mutual attraction
There’s mixed news for Gabby this week. On the one hand, we have Nicky leaving her thrilled when he says that the attraction she feels for him is reciprocated.
But the problem for Gabby is that Nicky still refuses to cross that line. But how long will it be before a professional relationship becomes personal?
Caleb is sticking around
Having made a big deal of his entrance over Christmas, it’d be bonkers for Emmerdale to get rid of Caleb so soon.
So it’ll come as little surprise to find that, despite Cain’s attempts at intimidation, this newest member of the Dingle clan isn’t going unaware. And, on Monday, Caleb makes it clear that he’s staying put.
