Emmerdale star Claire King confirms Kim and Caleb plot will return

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale star Claire King has revealed that the plot involving Kim Tate and Caleb Milligan will be revisited in the New Year.

The storyline saw Caleb scheme in an attempt to secure Home Farm, with his plan being foiled as Kim wisened up to his machinations.

King, who returned to the soap in 2018, spoke with Inside Soap about the upcoming developments, teasing that fans won’t have seen the last of the fiery storyline.

“I know there’s going to be a link back to Caleb at some point,” said King of the New Year arcs. “There’s some unfinished business. He can only chip away at Kim and Home Farm for so long before he gets a slap. Beware, Caleb!”

It might not be the only returning storyline, with Kim and Cain Dingle’s co-involvement in the death of Craig Reed set to crop up again, with King teasing: “Cain has something over her, but she also has something over him, so no doubt that will be used.”

Elsewhere on the ITV soap, Roxy Shahidi recently talked about the prospect of her character, Leyla Harding, finding love again. “I personally think there's one relationship that should have lasted and I personally think they should revisit,” she said.

“It's funny because I did the Emmerdale tour the other day – you show everyone around the village and you do a little Q&A. I did four groups and everyone said the same thing: 'Oh, she should be with…' and I was like, 'I know!’

“I don't want her to be happy happy, because that's boring, do you know what I mean? I love the twists and turns. But I do think she needs another real love after the doctor [Liam Cavanagh].”

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
