Yahoo News Emmerdale star Fiona Wade announces engagement to former co-star Simon Cotton
Emmerdale star Fiona Wade has revealed her engagement to former co-star Simon Cotton, six months after confirming their romance.
The actress, who plays Priya Sharma on the ITV soap, excitedly told fans that she said yes to the “easiest question ever” over the festive period.
Alongside a snap of the two canoodling, Wade wrote: “Two days ago this beautiful man asked me to be his wife. There has never been an easier answer to a question.... Yes!
“Feel so incredibly blessed. Wishing you all a wonderful 2019 & so much love for the year ahead.”

Wade confirmed her relationship with her fellow actor in July 2017, posting an adorable photo of the two with a yellow heart in the caption.
The pair met years ago when Cotton played the role of an estate agent Hugh Bryant in Emmerdale in 2017.
Wade was flooded with congratulations and well wishes from fans and soap co-stars, including Danny Miller and Mark Charnock.
Charnock, who plays Marlon Dingle, wrote: “Wonderful news!!! Congratulations lovely Fiona. What a way to go into 2019. Xx.”
Miller, who stars as Aaron Dingle, said: “Congrats Fi!! Buzzing for you xxx,” while fellow star Ash Palmisciano– who plays Matty Barton – added: “Massive congratulations lovely lady!! Xx.”
Michelle Hardwick, who plays Vanessa Woodfield, excitedly commented: “Congratulations again my gorgeous girl. Big loves to you both, can’t wait to celebrate with you.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV.
