Emmerdale star Amy Walsh has shared an admission about her new marriage as she prepares for move away from the ITV soap. The actress has opened up her home life to the cameras for the first time in the new ITVBe reality series Drama Queens.

The new eight-episode reality series, focused around Manchester and the North West, follows the lives of a host of female actresses from across three of Britain’s biggest soap operas, Emmerdale, Coronation Street and Hollyoaks.

Amy, who is known for playing Tracy Robinson in Emmerdale, is joined by her co-stars Laura Norton and Roxy Shahidi as well as Coronation Street stars past and present, including Brooke Vincent, Ellie Leach, Lucy Fallon and Hollyoaks' Jamelia, Jorgie Porter and Rita Simons as they open the doors to their real lives, showcasing their personalities, struggles, and triumphs.

According to ITV, Amy's story develops "amidst the emotional rollercoaster of her gripping storyline on Emmerdale. Juggling the demands of her career with the complexities of newlywed life and motherhood, Amy finds solace in the unwavering support of her friends and colleagues."

Now, the soap star has revealed that juggling her acting career as well as the new reality show has left her with little opportunity to see her husband, former EastEnders actor and Walford villain Toby-Alexander Smith.

Due to both of their busy work schedules, as Toby stars in TV film An American in Austen while currently filming new independent film Murder Between Friends in Prague, Amy claims the pair have not seen one another since their stunning wedding in Montenegro in August.

"It's just a juggle, a struggle sometimes", Amy said while speaking to Christine Lampard on ITV's Lorraine on Tuesday (April 9), referring to the fact that she, along with co-stars Laura and Roxy, are all sharing the lives of overbooked actors.

When questioned about her family life with Toby-Alexander and daughter Bonnie-Mae, she quipped: "I've barely seen him since we got married", before adding: "We do feel like newlyweds, we haven't been together that long in the grand scheme of things so our relationship is still quite new and fresh but then you throw a toddler in the mix and work commitments and it's crazy."

Taking to Instagram, she re-shared a post from Dame Joan Collins in which the couple and their daughter Bonnie posed alongside the Dynasty star.
