Emmerdale's Charity Dingle reaches turning point with Vanessa Woodfield

From Digital Spy

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale has hinted at a turning point for Charity Dingle and Vanessa Woodfield next week after their tensions over Johnny.

Charity (Emma Atkins) was left feeling upset last month when Vanessa asked her best friend Rhona Goskirk whether she'd be prepared to be Johnny's guardian.

Following her bowel cancer diagnosis, Vanessa (Michelle Hardwick) is making plans for what would happen to Johnny if she passed away. The village vet initially asked Charity, but was disappointed when she briefly hesitated.

Next week, Charity continues to struggle with the situation when Rhona (Zoe Henry) brings over Johnny's guardianship documents.

Charity is hurt that the plan is still going ahead and can't resist snapping when it all becomes too much. Another heated argument follows between Charity and Vanessa, leaving them at odds.

Fortunately, Charity and Vanessa later apologise to each other and start to sort things out after their recent problems.

When they both return after Vanessa's latest hospital appointment, the mood between them is much happier and Charity has some big news to share.

Following Charity's announcement, which we can't reveal just yet, Vanessa starts to feel unwell and runs upstairs. It's another sad reminder of the current situation that Vanessa faces.

Emmerdale currently airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7pm on ITV.
