Emmerdale's Charles left shocked by Victor's health revelation

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

The drama has intensified at the Anderson household in Emmerdale, with Charles left shocked by Victor’s health revelation.

Victor revealed to wife Claudette last week that he had an unruptured aneurysm on his brain, but fell short of informing his son as he wanted his love instead of his “pity”.

In tonight’s (July 10) episode, Victor, Ethan and Claudette began by hanging around at the pub, but the latter insisted that Charles had a right to know of Victor’s condition.

They subsequently met at the house, with Victor informing his son about his health, leaving the vicar reeling at the news.

Charles reacted to the news badly, saying to Manpreet that it was another ploy to garner some attention, but she brought him down to Earth by reiterating that he wouldn't have much time to patch things up with his father.

Charles later returned to the home by saying that his father's condition wouldn't "wipe the slate clean", with Victor adding that he wasn't expecting "forgiveness" but rather a "chance".

Just before Charles left, after declaring they were still not at the "hug it out stage", Victor maintained that he was a changed man, and implored his son to give him a final chance.

The pair later shared a drink, with Charles accusing Victor of "pulling a stunt" as he tried to make amends. With the two still warring, Charles said he would be keeping a very keen eye on him...

While the pair are squabbling, Manpreet actress Rebecca Sarker called for more family drama with the return of on-screen sister Paige Sandhu, who played killer Meena Jutla.

"I'm seeing Paige next week so hopefully she'll have some insider information for me," revealed Sarker. "I think she's probably onto other things for now, I'm sure viewers would love to see her return though."

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
