Emmerdale's Charley Webb reunites with soap co-stars

Ex-Emmerdale star Charley Webb has reunited with her former castmates to celebrate "20 years of friendship" in the Yorkshire Dales.

On Instagram, the actress posted a reel showing her alongside Charlotte Bellamy (Laurel Thomas), Emma Atkins (Charity Dingle) and Zoë Henry (Rhona Goskirk), having a relaxing weekend full of food, wine, and walking in the countryside.

Webb captioned the reel: "Weekend in the Yorkshire Dales celebrating 20 years of friendship. Til the end of time."

The star played Debbie Dingle on the soap from 2002 to 2021, joining when she was just 14. Webb has stayed close with many of her former Emmerdale co-stars since her exit, who helped her celebrate her 35th birthday earlier this year.

After leaving Emmerdale, Webb ran her own business which sold handcrafted toys, but she revealed in February that she had been forced to shut it down.

“I've loved this chapter and the journey it's taken us on, but we just don't have the time to run it the way we want to,” Webb said at the time. "I love everything Scandi[navian], so this has been a dream.”

While Webb has no immediate plans to return to Emmerdale any time soon, Cain Dingle actor Jeff Hordley shared earlier this year that he'd love for her to make a comeback as Debbie.

“Cain is flawed, so I just have to find the reasons behind what he does," he said. "No one gets through to him like Debbie does, and I'd love Charley Webb, who plays her, to come back."

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
