Feeling knackered and suffering from morning sickness, Gabby is starting to wonder if she's ready for the responsibilities of motherhood. Her doubts secretly delight Jamie, who's hoping he can convince Gab to have an abortion then ditch her for good.

Later, frustrated by the mixed signals he has been getting from Dawn, the devious vet is pleased when she admits she has feelings for him. The pair share a kiss, but are seen by Gabby, who's heartbroken by their betrayal.

Confronting Jamie, angry Gabby asks why he has been pretending to care for her. She is sickened to realise he has been keeping her sweet in the hope she'll terminate the pregnancy.

Determined that Kim should know exactly what kind of a man her son is, Gabby rushes off to find her. But just moments later, she suffers a dizzy spell and ends up taking a nasty fall.

Lying on the ground clutching her tummy, the terrified teen cries out to Jamie to help, but he stands and watches on in silence as Gabby loses consciousness. Will she and her unborn child be okay?

Jumping to the conclusion that he has fallen off the wagon again, disgusted Steve ignores Peter's plea that he's sober but unwell, and locks him in the house.

Elsewhere, oblivious to her partner's peril, Carla bonds with Lucas over their shared experiences of living with an addict and agrees to take the afternoon off to head into town with him. But when they return to the cobbles, they're met by Steve, who reveals Peter has collapsed and been rushed to hospital.

Coming round to find Carla by his bedside, groggy Peter insists he has no idea what happened to him, but he definitely wasn't boozing. She's not buying it though, and when Lucas seizes his chance and invites Carla to return to Devon with him, Steve tells her to cut her losses with Peter and go.

Just as it looks like Carla has decided to leave with Lucas, Peter's consultant confirms he wasn't drunk and his disorientation was caused by toxins arising from liver failure.

Feeling dreadful for doubting him, Carla begs Peter for forgiveness, but he doesn't want her to stay with him out of pity and tells her she must do whatever makes her happy.

That evening, all is revealed when the couple inform Stacey that she has been reported to the police over Ruby's tumble down the club stairs. To make matters worse, Martin made the call.

Forced to give a statement down at the station, Stacey insists the incident happened because Ruby lost her footing and the CCTV will confirm her story. After being released, Stace continues to plead her innocence to Ruby and Martin, insisting the crucial video evidence will clear her name.

The gravity of the situation soon dawns on Martin when lawyer Gray reveals that Stacey's previous criminal record means she'll go down if found guilty and advises him to start thinking about what will happen to their kids.

As worried Martin fears he has gone too far, Stacey returns to the station and desperately begs the Old Bill to realise Ruby has got a vendetta against her.

Continuing her manipulation, Chelsea turns on the waterworks in front of Lucas, telling him that she'd already be six feet under if Jack had blown her drug smuggling plan.

Unaware he's being played, Lucas promises Chelsea a better life, but the penny finally drops when he overhears her taunting Jack in the Square. Once again, Chelsea tries to justify her actions and reminds Lucas that Caleb will kill her if she messes up the job.

Later, unaware of his true identity, Karen flirts with Lucas in the launderette and asks him to go for a drink with her. He agrees, and introduces himself as his late son Jordan. But his cover could be blown when Karen later sends a sneaky snap of her date to her family group chat.

The following day, still posing as 'Jordan', Lucas heads to a job interview with Caleb. Unfortunately, Caleb recognises he's Chelsea's dad straight away and warns him that he'd better do as he's told or else.

Following their chat, Roo returns to Kieran's caravan and finds a number of empty bottles, seemingly confirming her suspicions. But instead of showing the evidence to Martha, Roo goes to Alf, who's fuming to hear that Kieran threatened her.

Later, having failed to convince Martha that her son has succumbed to temptation, Alf and Roo confront Kieran at the surf club about his secret stash of booze. Tensions quickly boil over and angry Kieran launches himself at Alf, forcing Justin to intervene.
