Emmerdale's Matthew Wolfenden reunites with co-star in fresh move after soap exit
Former Emmerdale star Matthew Wolfenden has reunited with co-star and friend Roxy Shahidi as he makes a fresh move after leaving the soap. The two actors have joined forces with the release of their own podcast.
Titled Celebrity Side Hustles, the podcast will see Matthew and Roxy"delve behind the scenes to chat with celebrity guests about everything", including "how they got to where they are now, life off-screen as well as their incredible, surprising and inspiring inner passions" or "side hustles".
Announcing the news in a joint Instagram post, which also included a teaser clip, Matthew, who is known for having played David Metcalfe in the ITV soap, wrote: "Mine and @roxyshahidi's brand new podcast ‘Celebrity Side Hustle’ has just dropped!! Listen (and watch) on Apple Podcast now!"

Matthew and Roxy, who still plays Leyla Cavanagh in Emmerdale, revealed their first guest as another Emmerdale star Jessie Elland, who played Chloe Harris until the end of last year, and who is due to release her debut novel, The Ladie Upstairs, next year.
"We were so thrilled to interview the uber talented @jessieelland about her 'Side Hustle' - her new book THE LADIE UPSTAIRS - which is out soon," Matthew added. "BTW - The podcast will be available on all platforms very soon."
Jessie was quick to respond to the post, writing: "Woo!! Had such a great time recording this with you guys!" while some of their other Emmerdale co-stars also showed support. Lawrence Robb said: "Superb work!!!" while Jay Kontzle posted a string of clapping emojis and Martelle Edinborough added: "Love this!!!"
And fans were also keen to show their excitement over Matthew and Roxy's new project. @francescathefacialist said: "Omg amazing!!!!" @travelbyemma_ wrote: "Love this..everyone should have a side hustle! Mine is Travel!" @fashpackstyle commented: "This is amazing well done guys." @lexifavss added: "This is the most exiting thing that has happening all year oh my god."
