Emmerdale's Rhona to make a shock discovery over Gus' baby deal

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale's Rhona Goskirk is left devastated in Monday's episode (March 4) as she realises that her ex-husband Gus Malcolms is trying to con her.

Rhona is ready to accept Gus' deal to get them both out of trouble with the police, but there's a nasty surprise in store for her.

Viewers know that Rhona is facing a serious charge after kidnapping baby Ivy last month. Although Ivy is Rhona's biological child, she doesn't have any legal rights over her.

Gus is also in big trouble after Rhona reported him for fraudulently using one of their frozen embryos to start a family with his wife Lucy, who died after giving birth to Ivy.

Last week, Gus suggested that he and Rhona could both come up with false cover stories to explain away both charges and save each other.

Gus promised that if Rhona helped him, he'd grant her wish of letting her have regular access to Ivy. Wanting to show how serious he was, Gus even allowed Rhona to spend some time with Ivy again.

Monday's episode sees the ongoing storyline take a new twist as Rhona discovers that Gus is deceiving her.

It turns out that Gus has no intention of keeping his promises to Rhona, leaving her upset by his cruel behaviour.

Speaking recently, Zoe Henry – who plays Rhona – confirmed that she doesn't yet know the ending of this storyline.

Appearing on This Morning, Zoe admitted: "I can't possibly say [what happens], I actually don't know. We know a little in advance, but not too much."

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
