Emmerdale's Ryan Stocks is going to cross the line in the Oscar storyline.
Ryan and his partner Gail Loman recently met the son they gave up for adoption when he needed a marrow donation.
In scenes set to air next week, Ryan is still feeling uneasy despite the surgery's success, and admits to Gail that this means that they won't be able to see Oscar again.

Oscar's adopted mum Sophie has become jealous of the bond that has formed between him and his biological parents, and lied to them about Oscar saying he didn't want to see them again.
Unaware that Sophie has lied to them, Gail tells Ryan that he needs to stay away from Oscar, but Ryan can't bear to be estranged from his son. He ends up ignoring the warnings and contacting Oscar on social media.
What's going to happen once Sophie finds out and comes to the village to confront Ryan about it?

Meanwhile, Gail actress Rachael Gill-Davis has called for a character to strike up a friendship with a perhaps surprising villager.
"I'd like [Mary Goskirk] to become Gail's best friend," she said. "I think Gail would be a good wing-woman for her, and I love Louise Jameson."
She also said that she'd like to see Gail's family to be introduced and expanded upon, and named The Royle Family's Ricky Tomlinson and Trainspotting and Once Upon a Time's Robert Carlyle as the perfect candidates to play Gail's on-screen dad.
