The ending of Netflix’s Chicken Nugget explained

Do you ever ask your partner if they'd still love you if you were a chicken nugget? Well, that concept has literally come true in Netflix's new K-Drama, Chicken Nugget, and we've explained the crispy ending to the series.

The 10-part comedy series stars Kim Yoo-jung, Ahn Jae-hong and Squid Games' Jung Ho-yeon, and sees a woman turn into a chicken nugget with her father and admirer embarking on a ridiculous quest to bring her back to life.

So, does Min-ah turn back into a human or does she become a tasty snack for someone? Plus, does Baek-joong finally admit his feelings for her? Get ready, because here is the ending of Chicken Nugget explained.

Baekjung Chicken Nuggets employees are aliens in disguise

While trying to find both Min-ah and the machine, Baek-joong and Seon-man arrive at the place where In-won and Tae-man have been hiding them. But, four individuals from Baekjung Chicken Nuggets soon arrive and we discover that they are, in fact, aliens, and the owners of the machine.

The four aliens convince Seon-man and Baek-joong to give them Min-ah to take her to their planet as they can only fix the machine there and can turn her into a human again. But, it means that Min-ah will only be able to return to Earth in 50 years due to the time differences between the planets.

Baek-joong becomes a famous musician

Then, the final episode begins with a flash forward to 50 years in the future, with Baek-joong now a famous singer going by the stage name, Yellow Pants. But, despite his success, he's still waiting for Min-ah’s return to Earth.

Baek-jung takes Min-ah away

Then, we go back to where we left off in the previous episode and see one of the aliens named Baek-jung take Min-ah back to his planet in hopes of returning her in human form in 50 years time.

Upon their departure, Seon-man, sobs as she says goodbye to his daughter and later, he decides to leave the company to Mr. Kim as he wants to stay alive as long as possible to see Min-ah again, and he tells Baek-joong to pursue his music career.

Baek-jung returns without Min-ah

Back in the future, alien Baek-jung returns to Earth. But, Min-ah is still a chicken nugget and he tells Baek-joong that he needs one more day to fix the machine. Yet, by then, it will mean that no one will remember Min-ah as one day on their planet is 50 years on Earth.

But, the alien also gives Baek-joong a time travel machine to prevent Min-ah from ever turning into a chicken nugget in the first place. Yet, if he uses the machine, he will lose his memories from the last 50 years.

Baek-joong goes back in time to save Min-ah

Baek-jung gives Baek-joong some time to think about his decision, and he decides to go back in time to save Min-ah. Before this, he calls Seon-man, who is still alive despite being over 100 years old, to see Min-ah as a nugget but he sadly passes away on his way to meet Baek-joong.

After a final conversation with Min-ah as a chicken nugget, Baek-joong goes back in time to the day when Min-ah brings a box of chicken nuggets to her father’s office, with them having no recollection of what happened.
