England star Declan Rice shoved by Slovakia manager in furious on-field altercation

England star Declan Rice was involved in a heated altercation with the Slovakia manager moments after the Three Lions sealed a dramatic comeback win.

Gareth Southgate’s side were poor again as they trailed 1-0 heading into the dying seconds of the game following Ivan Schranz’s first-half goal. But they booked their place in the quarter-finals thanks to a stunning 95th minute equaliser from Jude Bellingham and a headed goal from Harry Kane less than a minute into extra time.

Tensions ran high throughout the game and following the full-time whistle, there were handbags as Rice was confronted by Slovakian boss Francesco Calzona. The manager had charged over towards the referee and the Arsenal man appeared to say something towards him as he protested.

That led Calzona to shove Rice backwards, with the England star pulled away from the situation before celebrating with fans. It's not known exactly what the midfielder said to the manager, but he is believed to have told him not to get involved with the referee.

After edging past Slovakia, England will now face Switzerland in the quarter-final on Saturday, July 6.
