England are through to the last 16 of Euro 2024, with the dream of going all the way to a first ever Euros triumph very alive.

The Three Lions signed off their Group C campaign with an unconvincing draw with Slovenia in Cologne on Tuesday night, and attention now turns to who they will play in the knockout stages of the competition.

Some of the more optimistic England fans may well now be plotting the route to the final as they dream of football 'coming home'.

But if England were to reach the final, who would they face?

Last 16

Having won Group C, England are now poised to take on one of the best third-placed teams from Groups D, E or F in Gelsenkirchen on Sunday night.

Netherlands finished third in Group D, while Romania, Belgium, Slovakia and Ukraine are all tied on three points in Group E. The Czech Republic are currently third in Group F, although they're only ahead of Georgia by virtue of a better goal difference.

We won't know for sure until the end of Wednesday's games.

Quarter-finals

If England emerge victorious from their last 16 tie, they would then face the winners of Saturday's round-of-16 clash between Switzerland and Italy.

Semi-finals

At this stage, England are could well come up against the winners of either Group E or D, which as things stand, would see them take on either Romania or Austria.
