Enterprise woman pleads guilty to raping young family member, DA says

COFFEE COUNTY, Ala (WDHN) — An Enterprise woman will soon be sentenced after pleading guilty to rape.

Amanda Fulford was arrested in August 2022 and charged with rape and sexual abuse, both in the second degree.

District Attorney James Tarbox tells WDHN the victim was a 13-year-old related to Fulford by marriage. Court records show the alleged crimes were committed between April and May 2022.

According to DA Tarbox, on Wednesday, Fulford pled guilty to the rape charge in exchange for the sexual abuse charge being dropped.

Fulford has not been sentenced, and Judge Sonny Reagan will set a sentencing hearing at a later date.
