Jenny Bicks & Doug Ellin Team For Unconventional Family Comedy At CBS
Top auspices behind two of the most popular HBO comedy series of the past two decades — Entourage creator/executive producer Doug Ellin and Sex And The City executive producer Jenny Bicks — are teaming for a new comedy project at CBS.
Created by Bicks based on an idea by Ellin and Joey Boukadakis, I hear the untitled single-camera comedy centers on a successful young couple who find themselves starting an unconventional family when a threesome leads to a pregnancy. Bicks and Ellin executive produce alongside Teri Weinberg (Nat Geo’s Killing franchise, Saints & Strangers). Boukadakis will co-executive produce.
CBS TV Studios, where Ellin’s company Halyard Park is under an overall deal, is the studio.
Former The Big C executive producer Bicks is currently re-writing Drama, Whitney Cummings’ HBO comedy pilot, and supervising TV Land’s First Wives Club. She is repped by UTA.
Ellin recently wrote and directed the Entourage movie. He is repped by CAA.
Boukadakis, repped by CAA and Mosaic, previously wrote Blitz for Comedy Central, an animated half-hour based on the life of Dan Bilzerian.
