“ER” star Maura Tierney's neighbor pinned profane note to her door over loud music: 'Be better'
Tierney revealed the note to Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos on "Live," with the contents questioning the actress' taste in artists: "James F---ing Taylor?"
ER actress Maura Tierney may have to perform surgery on her music library after she revealed that one of her New York City neighbors pinned a profane note on her door after she played loud James Taylor music at home.
"It's a brownstone, it's my house, and my boyfriend and I like to play music sometimes," the 59-year-old, who's currently starring in the drama series American Rust, told Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos on Thursday's episode of Live With Kelly and Mark. "We were just listening to music, and it might've been a little loud, but the next morning I came down and there was a note attached to my door."
The show then flashed an image of the note, which read: "James [redacted] Taylor? Be better. Turn it down."
Ripa and Consuelos — who famously revealed last year on Live that they, too, were the victims of a hilarious noise complaint, reacted with shock and horror over the development (Ripa even called the move "aggressive"), and pressed Tierney on the identity of the neighborhood Karen (or, perhaps, Kevin).
"I asked my neighbor over here, they didn't hear it. My neighbor over here throws parties all the time, I'm feeling like [it could be] a passerby?" Tierney questioned. "We really don't know."
