Eric Adams Walks NYC Streets With Mother's Photo on Election Day

Democratic New York City mayoral candidate Eric Adams carried a framed photograph of his late mother as he traveled through the city doing last-minute campaigning on Election Day, November 2.

While speaking to reporters after casting his vote in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Adams emotionally remembered voting in 1977 with his mother, Dorothy, who died earlier this year.

Video shared by the Adams campaign shows the candidate walking through Brooklyn on Tuesday holding the portrait of Dorothy Adams.

“This is mom’s day, every day. This is what it’s all about,” Adams says to the camera. “Come out to vote.”

Adams, a veteran New York City police officer and the Brooklyn Borough President, goes up against Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa, founder of the Guardian Angels.
