Eric Bolling Departs Newsmax After Three-Year Run

Eric Bolling is departing Newsmax after three years with the network.

“After working together for three years to produce, present, and break news for the American people, it’s time for Eric to embark on new endeavors,” said a statement on Bolling’s website. “Eric and Newsmax are grateful for their time together and proud of the work they have produced.”

Bolling’s 8 p.m. ET show Eric Bolling The Balance was one of Newsmax’s most viewed shows, averaging 311,000 viewers last month, according to Nielsen.

Newsmax said that it had mutually agreed with Bolling to end his show. Starting on Monday, Newsmax will air its Prime News with rotating hosts until a permanent successor in the time slot is named.

“Newsmax wishes Eric Bolling well in his future endeavors,” the network said. “The network looks forward to an exciting periods this election season which will include our nightly news coverage with Greta Van Susteren, Rob Schmitt, Greg Kelly and Chris Plante.”

Bolling did not say what his next move will be, but the statement said, “The fight to inform the American people will remain paramount for Eric as he takes his audience on a new path with new partners. He will continue to navigate the ever-changing landscape of news media with the same commanding voice and presence, bringing his dedicated audience a take they won’t find anywhere else.”

Before Newsmax, Bolling had been at Sinclair Broadcast Group and Fox News.
