Erling Haaland has delivered a short and simple message following Manchester City's win over Wolves. The 23-year-old striker fired Pep Guardiola's side to a 4-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon as the Premier League title race builds a head of steam.

While the reigning champions trail Arsenal in first by just a point, they've got a game in hand up their sleeve which could prove pivotal by the end of May. Haaland has featured 28 times for Manchester City in the English top flight this term, scoring 25 goals and providing five assists.

The Norway international has played a crucial role in Guardiola's starting lineup as the Spaniard looks to win four successive Premier League titles. While Manchester City are on the brink of history, Haaland remains hungry for silverware.

The Norwegian looked visibly frustrated when he was hooked towards the end of the game over the weekend, despite having already netted four. After storming past Wolves, Haaland has now distanced himself from the rest of the pack in the race for the golden boot.

He's scored 25, while Alexander Isak and Cole Palmer have both managed 20. Taking to social media after the game, Haaland marked the victory with a celebratory – and caption-less – post on his Instagram story.

Haaland simply posted a picture of himself with the match ball, signed by his teammates. It remains unclear which signatures are whose, but one Manchester City ace wrote 'hermano' - Spanish for 'brother' - and another said 'lets go'.

It appears that Haaland remains as focused and determined on winning the Premier League as Guardiola. Speaking to reporters after the Wolves clash, the Spaniard revealed his game plan as the campaign nears its conclusion.

"The biggest importance is just two weeks left. Three games. Nine points we will be champions," said Guardiola. "Seven points, six points, three points, Arsenal will win the Premier League.

"You see the result 5-1 [today] but I don’t have the feeling that was really good. We lost a lot of balls, simple ones. With teams that make high pressing we can run with Phil, Kevin, Julian. I give a lot of credit to Wolves, the patterns they have."
