Escape to the Chateau star Dick Strawbridge sparked health concerns as he posted a photo of him using a mobility aid. The 64-year-old, who rose to fame on the Channel 4 show with his wife Angel, was seen strolling on a beach with a walking stick.

He sparked concern from fans after sharing images from a family trip to the beach at Saint-Cast-le-Guildo in Brittany with his two youngest children Arthur and Dorothy.

Dick wrote: "Hello to you on this terrific Tuesday! Rainbows and sunshine! Simple sandy fun at seaside!" Fans rushed to share their concern for the star, with one writing: "Hope Dick is OK, see a walking stick being old rugby injury no doubt."

Another commented: "Hope your knee is getting better Dick. Enjoy your lovely family." A third questioned: "What's wrong with Dick?"

Dick is currently recovering from a knee injury and previously explained to fans that he has to use a walking stick for six months. It is a recurring injury from his time in the military.

He previously revealed on his and Angel's podcast, Dick & Angel's Chat... Eau that he had undergone acupuncture to try and ease his pain. He said: "I went for my first treatment because my knee has been giving me some grief and I am still waiting to go along and see the expert which is actually on Dorothy’s birthday.

"So I went along and got pins stuck in me. It was interesting. When you have had 20 years in the army, when you lie down and do nothing, and nothing's happening you sleep."

While Escape to the Chateau ended in 2022, Dick and Angel are due to front a new program called Dick and Angel's Secret France on Channel 4 next month. They will be exploring the side of the country tourists often forget to explore.

The upcoming show will consists of four hour-long episodes.
