Essex is a large and diverse county home to a vast number of celebrities. Pop star Olly Murs, Joe Thomas of Inbetweeners fame and film and TV star Joanna Page are all widely known to be Essex residents.

A lesser-known fact, however, is that Essex is also where reality TV star Dani Dyer and Premier League footballer Jarrod Bowen call home. Bowen wrote himself into Hammers folklore last year after scoring a late match-winning goal to secure West Ham their first European trophy in several decades.

More recently, meanwhile, he was called up to be involved in Gareth Southgate's Three Lions squad in Germany at Euro 2024. Dani, who has a son named Santiago with a former partner, gave birth to twins - Star and Summer - who she forms a family with alongside Jarrod. Star and Summer celebrated their first birthday recently.

Dani, from Newham, used to live in a £725k five-bedroom house in Essex, but the couple chose to move ahead of the birth of their babies. Dani and Jarrod announced their relationship on December 27, 2021. They have been together for almost three years.

The pair are also known to pay a visit to the Dog and Pickle in Ongar when they're not busy looking after their children or performing in England's top flight. The pub restaurant, known for their Sunday roasts, is a true hotspot for celebrities with former Broadway actress Denise van Outen and Joey Essex's sister, Frankie, also keen on a visit to the Ongar pub.

Whilst Dani and Jarrod's new home location is unknown, they still live in Essex and Dani's dad, Danny, has a lavish home in the county including a cinema room, gym and even an igloo. West Ham's first team also train at Rush Green in Romford, meaning Jarrod needs to live relatively nearby.

Before featuring on Love Island, very few people knew who Dani was aside from being the daughter of Eastenders star Danny. She had played minor roles in various films and TV shows including Doghouse and Vendetta, as well as bigger roles in Age of Kill and other short films.

Love Island wasn't Dani's first appearance on a reality TV show. Just months before she stepped into the villa, Dani appeared as a contestant on the similar ITV2 show, Survival Of The Fittest.

Similarly to Love Island, the contestants stayed in luxury accommodation, and the show was dubbed as a 'sister show' to the ITV show, however, it was cancelled after just one series. Dani didn't last long at all on Survival Of The Fittest, with her leaving the show on just the second episode.

In the very first challenge, Dani was injured whilst taking part in an obstacle course when she dislocated her shoulder. Unable to compete in any further challenges, Dani had to leave the show before the public had the chance to get to know her.

Bowen, 27, was born in Leominster in Herefordshire and has always been involved in football. He had unsuccessful trials with Cardiff City and Aston Villa before representing Hereford United from age 17 through to 2014 when they were expelled from the Conference.

He signed for Hull City that July and went on to play 124 matches for them, scoring 52 times, between 2014 and January 2020 when he signed for West Ham. He has appeared multiple times for England but is yet to score for the Three Lions.
