As the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 final gets well underway a unique performance by contestant Bambie Thug who is representing Ireland has been branded a "bit mad" and likened to scenes straight out of a horror movie.

Fans of the contest took to X (Twitter) after the Irish performer, aged 31, graced the stage for the ninth performance of the night. Following performances from Estonia, Spain, Lithuania, Isreal and more, the theatrical display was compared to an exorcism.

One of the favourites to win though, the unique and out-there performance by the Macroom-born star has not gone unnoticed. And while it was clearly too much for some, others had nothing but praise saying the act is "one to watch" for taking home the Eurovision 2024 crown tonight.
