Scottish superstar Lulu is set to perform in Hull as part of her farewell Champagne For Lulu tour later this year.

The songstress, now 75, first entered the charts 60 years ago with her legendary Shout single, quickly establishing her as a national treasure. In her lifetime in the spotlight, Lulu has amassed numerous achievements including winning Eurovision for the UK in 1969 and singing the title song for the 1974 James Bond film The Man With The Golden Gun.

In the mid-1990s, she had her first number one single in the UK, providing guest vocals on the Take That single Relight My Fire. Lulu was awarded an OBE in 2000 and CBE in 2021 for services to music, entertainment and charity.

Lulu said: “60 years in the business! What an amazing journey it’s been, so many memories – wow! That’s why I’m going to make sure that my upcoming shows are a momentous celebration. And I promise to whip up one hell of a party, all the hits, my personal stories from behind the scenes, and of course, I’ll be inviting some special guests onto the stage with me. Join me, it’s gonna be the party of a lifetime!”
